Robert Johnson

Another "member" of the "27" club is blues legend Robert Johnson. The late Musician died in 1938 after being poisoned. Johnson always wanted to play guitar and blues but he wasn't good at it. One night, he disappeared and returned changed into a different person. According to friends, he became noticeably better overnight, and when they asked him what he was doing, Johnson told them he had met a demon at a crossroads (the intersection is in Mississippi). The devil tuned his guitar strings and gave Johnson the talent in exchange for his soul. Johnson wrote a song titled "Me & the Devil" and rumors of his dealings with the devil have never subsided.

Giuseppe Tartini

Giuseppe Tartini is a private musician and only violin experts know him. He was born in 1692 in the republic of Venice and was the first owner of one of the Stradivariuses (a collection of famous musical instruments crafted by the Tradivari family). In 1765, just a few years before his death, Tartini had a dream in which he met a demon. The devil played him a piece on the violin, and Tartini, after waking up, tried to write it down. The violin sonata played in minor major known as "The Devil Sub Sonata" has become one of his most famous works. It was such a complicated and difficult piece of music that people of his day mumbled that Tartini had to have six fingers to be able to play it. Richey Edward

Richey Edward is the guitarist and songwriter for the Manic Street Preachers. When he planned to fly with a band member to the United States, for some unknown reason, he changed his mind and returned to his hometown. He stayed there for two weeks, then suddenly disappeared at the age of 27 (making him a member of the mysterious club "27"). After 13 years of searching, authorities declared him dead. The only trace of Richey Edward that has been found is his abandoned car. Despite this, the other members of the band still paid a quarter of their salary into his bank account, in the belief that he was still alive.
