Season two of In/Specter is the much-awaited installment in the animated series after last year's successful season one. Season one shows that the series is not a mere shonen series about magic and monsters but also a story about love and romance.

The second season of the anime will adapt the story from volume seven onward of the manga.

Rikka has gone into hiding, so Kuro and Kotoko find themselves solving a series of supernatural mysteries. They visit a seaside tourist town called Totomizu, where thousands of fish begin to wash up on the shore. The only clue is a strange wooden doll that the yokai think is the cause. Meanwhile, Kotoko finds herself drawn into the school's activities. A high school student named Manabu Amachi entices Kotoko to join the school's mysterious appreciation club, what is his motive for doing so?
