A Tale of Ylang Ylang revolves around Ngam - a girl born into a noble family. From a young age, she was taught by her father to be proud of her bloodline and status, with the goal of returning the family to its former glory after being abandoned by war. When her brother and father died suddenly, Ngam moved to Rawiwath palace, to be cared for by her aunt Mhom Saengjuntra. There Ngam meets Prince Aiyares, who resembles the prince of her dreams. Just like her father taught her, she aims to marry Prince Aiyares, the most perfect and deserving person in her eyes. However, she also meets Tian, an honest Chinese factory owner who loves her unconditionally. Although her heart is very longing, Ngam cannot be with Tian because of her promise to her father.
