Another (アナザー) is a series of horror and mystery novels written by Ayatsuji Yukito and Kadokawa Shoten and serialized in their Yasai Jidai magazine from August 2006 to May 2009. The plot revolves around Sakakibara Kōichi. A boy has just transferred to Yomiyama High School and he meets a mysterious girl named Misaki Mei who for some reason is considered non-existent by the people around him. Kōichi begins to notice the strange atmosphere of the class he is transferred to that everyone avoids talking about because the students in this class have always been the victims of mysteriously tragic accidents since 1972 after a accident of a student in the class, so Kōichi and Mei set out to find out and find a way to prevent this mysterious phenomenon before it is their turn to be victims.
