The school anime series Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu could almost be a comedy version of Classroom of the Elite, since the premise between them is very similar. Fumizuki Academy divides its students and budget into separate classes, Class A being the best and worst entering Class F. The only way students can move from one class to another is to pass tests with spirits called 'Representatives'.
