Belle: Ryū to Sobakasu no Hime tells the story of a 17-year-old girl named Suzu Naito who lives with her father in the beautiful city of Kochi. Suzu loves singing and possesses a natural voice, but after an accident that took her loving mother, she could no longer sing. Suzu has since lived a secluded life, always making mistakes at school. Until one day, she was invited by her only best friend to join "U", a virtual world with 5 billion inhabitants. Each “U” participant was given an identity known as “As”, formed from an analysis of their true personality and appearance.
Suzu's identity in "U" is Belle, an extremely beautiful, confident young woman. Joining "U", Suzu gained the courage to sing and soon, she became the most famous female singer in this virtual world. At Belle's much-anticipated performance, a strange creature in the form of an ugly monster appears, sending the crowd into chaos.
