Brave
Brave is a 2012 American computer-animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film's plot was created by writer/director Brenda Chapman, inspired by the relationship between herself and her daughter. A young princess named Merida of the tribe of Dunbroch is given a bow and arrow by her father, King Fergus, despite the concerns of her mother, Queen Elinor. Once, while venturing into the woods looking for a lost arrow, Merida came across a mysterious bluish light.
Not long after, Mor'du, a demon in the form of a bear, attacks the family. Merida escaped on horseback with Queen Elinor, and Fergus defeated the bear, but at the cost of his left leg. Now, a self-made and stubborn girl with three identical triplets, Merida learns that she is betrothed to one of her father's allied tribes. Elinor reminds Merida of the legend of a prince who destroyed his own kingdom out of pride and refused to comply with his father's wishes, warning her that her disapproval of marriage could threatened Dunbroch, but Merida remained unsatisfied with the arrangement.
