Ashoka the Great focuses on the life and love story of Ashoka's parents Dharma and Bindusara. Bindusara is the current king of Magadh. Meanwhile, his stepmother, Helena, is planning against him. Bindusara was attacked by Helena's henchmen but was saved by a beautiful and intelligent girl named Subhadrangi/Dharma. Impressed by Dharma's skill and care, Bindusara fell in love and married her.
