An adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel, Conversations With Friends premieres May 15, 2022 on Hulu. The 12-part series is expected to explore the subject of sex and passion for Irish millennials. The film follows Frances (Alison Oliver), her best friend with ex-boyfriend Bobbi (Sasha Lane) as they meet a married couple, journalist Melissa (Jemima Kirke) and actor Nick (Joe Alwyn), and then get caught up in a challenging relationship involving friendship, their own trauma.
From Frances and Bobbi's previous relationship to Bobbi and Melissa's flirtation, the show is full of representations of the LGBTQ+ community. According to Evoke, Lane, who plays the openly gay character in the film, is also gay in real life. Conversations With Friends will be an incredible mix of sex, scandal and navigating relationships that fans definitely don't want to miss.
