Death Note - Trailer
The Death Note manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata has sold millions of copies since its release in 2003 and is consistently among the top grossing manga of all time. Death Note was adapted into a movie by Netflix two years ago, but it will never be as good as the 2006 classic starring Tatsuya Fujiwara and Kenichi Matsuyama.
Death Note is about Light Yagami - a teenager with a genius mind who happens to own a notebook of the god of death - which can kill anyone when describing the cause of death on the pages of paper. Confronting Light is L - an eccentric intelligent detective who always makes Light's crimes can be exposed at any time. Death Note has a very complicated and brain-damaging content, but the smartest handling of the 2006 version is knowing how to choose the best materials and minimize the story effectively.
