Finding Nemo is a 2003 American animated adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film tells the story of an overprotected clownfish named Marlin who, along with a regal blue fish named Dory, search for their missing son Nemo. Finding Nemo is the best-selling DVD set of all time, with over 40 million copies sold as of 2006, and the highest-grossing G-rated film of all time before Pixar's Toy Story 3. The film was re-released in 3D in 2012. In 2008, the American Film Institute named it the 10th greatest animated film ever made in their Top 10 list. A sequel, Finding Dory, was released in June 2016.
