Fumetsu no Anata e illustrates the story of an immortal being that traverses the human world, meeting all kinds of people in various places throughout time.
A sphere, just called It, was brought down to Earth so that it could be observed from a distance. Capable of changing shape from the creatures it catches reflected, it first becomes a rock and then, due to the rising temperature, moss.
It didn't move until one snowy day, a wolf at death's door barely crossed. When It took the form of an animal, It gained awareness of its consciousness and began to wander with an unclear destination in mind. Before long, It came across the wolf's owner - a boy waiting for his tribe to return from a paradise of fish and fruit in the south. Even though he was lonely, he still hoped that the people he loved in his memory would not forget him and one day he would reunite with them.
The boy wants to explore new surroundings and decides to leave his home with It to find heaven using the traces left by his tribe. However, with his body badly injured and no trace of his elderly comrades left, what will happen to the boy?
