Hannibal is a 2012 American crime-scene horror television series, produced in 2012 and developed by Bryan Fuller for NBC. The film is based on the characters and events that occur in the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris with a modern setting and focuses on the relationship that has just begun between FBI special investigator Graham Will and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist who became Graham Will's most cunning rival. The series premiered for 13 episodes for its premiere season, and unlike most previous shows in the United States, any future premiere seasons will also have 13 episodes each. David Slade executive produces and directs the pilot. The series premiered on NBC on April 4, 2013.
