Soulless Gabimaru, originally an assassin ninja, was feared by many as a cold-blooded man. Even though he was sentenced to death, there was no one capable of killing him. After that, the Asaemon executioner went to Gabimaru and ignited a glimmer of hope for him with a very unexpected proposal, that if he wanted to see his beloved wife again, Gabimaru would have to start a meeting. Journeying under the supervision of the Shogunate, I came to a mysterious island to find the elixir of immortality. Just by finding that thing, Gabimaru, or the other bloodthirsty criminals, would be exonerated of all charges and able to start a new life. A super dramatic adventure has begun!
The series is imbued with religious and cultural identities from around the world, creating a mysterious and scary, even haunting, background. With relatively good drawings, not too excellent but just enough to create the inherent mystery, Hell of Bliss is really a work worth seeing.
