The Phantom Parade was first revealed in Weekly Shonen Jump #28 in 2021. It was also revealed on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime's Twitter account on June 14, 2021.According to Weekly Shonen Jump Nos. 3-4, Phantom Parade will launch in 2022.
The game's opening cinematic version, developed by MAPPA and featuring Eve's theme song "Avant," premiered on March 7, 2022, as part of the Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade special. It also features three other personalities from the Fukuoka Jujutsu High branch: Saki and Kaito, two first-year students, and Kensuke, the manager.
