She is a girl whose father ran away because of gambling debts and was later kicked out of her home. She was always ridiculed by her classmates because of her poor background. Not long after, she meets a stranger named Mikage and is offered to live in his "house". She discovers that the house is actually a rickety shrine overseen by the god Tomoe and his servants Onikiri and Kotetsu.
