Kylie Ann Minogue, born 28 May 1968), better known by her stage name Kylie, is an Australian recording artist, songwriter, and actress. Entering the television industry at an early age, she gained attention when she played Charlene Robinson on the Australian television series Neighbors. After starring in a 1987 episode that garnered nearly 20 million followers in the UK, she left the show the following year and signed with the PWL record label. Her debut studio album Kylie (1988) hit 7 million copies worldwide and spawned the UK Singles Chart number one single "I Should Be So Lucky". Their second studio album Enjoy Yourself (1989) was certified four times Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry and had all singles released in the top 5 of the UK Singles Chart.
