Life Is Beautiful Trailer
In Italy during the Nazi era, a young Italian-Jewish man named Guido Orefice came to work in the city of Arezzo in Tuscany. He is a funny, sharp person and falls in love with a foreign girl named Dora. He meets her again in the city where she is a teacher and is about to become engaged to Rodolfo, a wealthy but arrogant local government official. Guido himself created many "coincidental" details to show his concern for Dora. Finally, Dora also realized his feelings. During the engagement party, Guido rides on a horse and steals Dora away from his fiancé. They later married and had a son, Giosuè, and together they ran a bookstore. In 1944, during World War II, when Northern Italy was occupied by Nazi Germany, Guido, uncle Eliseo, and Giosuè were arrested on Giosuè's birthday. They and many other Jews were forced onto a train to a concentration camp. After that, Dora also volunteered to go on the train to be close to her family.
