In middle school, Ryou Mizushima and his friends join the badminton club of their choice. As he became more and more interested in the sport, Ryou worked tirelessly to improve his badminton skills until he qualified for the provincial tournament. Lacking a coach who can bring out his full potential, he doesn't count on getting into a high school with a strong badminton team. Instead, he plans to attend a local high school where he can play badminton for fun.
However, Ryou's opinion changes when Yokohama High School's badminton coach Minato watches him. Not only does the academy have one of the strongest badminton teams in the region, but it also has Kento Yusa, a player that Ryou greatly admires. Initially, Ryou decided to enroll with her sister's support. With unwavering ambition, he began accumulating experience with the proper guidance of a coach — all in the hope of one day surpassing Yusa.
