Trailer for the movie Love, Rosie at the End of the Rainbow (2014)
Love, Rosie is adapted from the novel of the same name by Cecelia Ahern (author of P.S. I Love You).
The film tells the story of best friends Alex and Rosie since the age of seven, who began to exchange letters sharing all the joys and sorrows in life, from Alex's pet dog to Miss Casey with a big ugly nose. … Childhood sly and naughty passed, until the age of fifteen, sixteen filled with suspense and budding romance… all wrapped up in letters hidden under the classroom desk. Then suddenly, Alex reluctantly moved with his family to Boston, away from Rosie and the sweet days. Unable to forget her boyfriend, Rosie is determined to go to America to meet Alex again. But, during the coming-of-age ceremony before the departure, after a drunken spree, Rosie was pregnant, and all plans had to come to an end. She accepts to continue living in Ireland, raising her young daughter while Alex and the other friends enjoy student life. But, not for a moment Alex forgot her, they continued to share through handwritten letters, email or chat.
Life continues its cycle, Rosie and Alex have their own families, go through ups and downs, and still tell themselves like two patient players in the secret game of God, that love sprouts from childhood, smoldering for more than forty years still waiting for them there, at the end of the rainbow.
