My Rainy Days

My Rainy Days is a 2009 Japanese romantic drama film based on the popular mobile phone novel of the same name. Director Yuri Kanchiku made his directorial debut in this film. The film tells the story of a charismatic schoolgirl who amends her ways when she falls in love with an elderly professor. 17-year-old high school student Rio Ozawa is always the center of attention thanks to his beauty. However, Rio has never cared for anyone but herself due to her traumatic past. Her friends only exist so she can use them to her advantage. Rio only cares about money. She is involved in "makeup dating" and blackmail.

One day, photos of Rio mixed up at the store with pictures of someone else with the last name Ozawa. She then meets university professor Kouki Ozawa, 35, and falls in love for the first time. Rio felt confused by his feelings. She changed from a confident, mature, typical schoolgirl to a bigger love. She follows Kouki around, asks him to tutor him, and wants to go on a date with him. Although Kouki became interested in Rio, there was a reason why he didn't pursue this relationship. However, Rio is very insistent and begins to change his entire world for the better to be with him.
