Netflix released the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival series called Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return in the hit comedy, sci-fi classic, which aired in 2017. Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return was fueled by a Kickstarter effort by dedicated fans in 2015. Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return features a new cast, including Jonah Ray, Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt.
Unfortunately, despite praise from fans and critics, the series was canceled after two seasons. Series creator Joel Hodgson announced in 2021 that Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return will find a new home on another platform called Gizmoplex, where new episodes of the series are continuing to show.
