Pamukkale is a popular tourist area that attracts millions of tourists every year. The name Pamukkale means "snowflake city", and it is named after the white, snow-like patches on the limestone steps.

This tourist area is located in Denizli province, southwestern Turkey, about 600 km south of the capital Ankara. It has a large number of hot mineral pools that are poured into the pools, forming a picturesque landscape.

The stone steps and pools at Pamukkale are formed by the limestone formation of hot springs over thousands of years. Limestone precipitates and forms terraces formed from the accumulation of calcium and other minerals in the water. The steps have become an attraction for tourists who want to take a dip in the mineral water and enjoy the stunning views.

Pamukkale tourist area also has many historical sites, including Hierapolis - an ancient city built in the 2nd century BC. The city is built on a mountain and from there it overlooks the entire Pamukkale area. Visitors can learn about the history of Hierapolis through monuments such as the Laodikeia catacombs, Saint Philippe's church, the gates of Severus, and many more.
