On the day Princess Rosalinda Marie Montoya Fiore (Demi Lovato) is about to become queen of the kingdom of Costa Luna, a dictator plots to take over her country. As such, she is included in the Princess Protection Program, a secret organization formed by nobles to protect princesses in danger. She took shelter at the house of Mason (Tom Verica) - an employee of the organization. Here Rosie gets to know Carter - the daughter of her protector. Although she is the same age as Rosalinda, her personality is completely different - a genuine tomboy who works at a bait shop. However, between them formed a beautiful friendship when Carter helped Rosie from a princess to be able to adjust to a normal life and vice versa, Rosie helped Carter find the princess hidden in her.
