The Secret in Their Eyes is a 2015 American horror film written and directed by Billy Ray and a remake of the 2009 Argentine film of the same name, both based on the novel La pregunta de sus ojos by Eduardo Sacheri.
The original plot is quite simple: a female judge and a former federal employee reunite after a long separation. Together, they talked about the haunting rape-murder case in the past, and at the same time realized that the romantic feelings they had for each other in the past were still there.
