Snowdrop

Snowdrop is a South Korean television series starring Jung Hae-in, Kim Ji-soo, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah, Kim Hye-yoon, Jung Yoo-jin, and Yoo In-na. The film is scheduled to air on JTBC on December 18, 2021 and broadcast on the online movie viewing platform Disney+. Snowflakes is set in the 1987 Democratic Struggle Movement in South Korea to oppose the authoritarian government at that time and demand fair elections. This movement ended with the end of the dictatorship of the 5th Republic of Korea and the establishment of the 6th Republic.

The film tells the romantic yet tragic love story of two characters Im Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Eun Young-ro (Kim Ji-Soo). Im Soo-ho is a graduate student who, after participating in a pro-democracy protest, was accidentally discovered by female university student Eun Young-ro covered in blood. Young-ro helps Soo-ho escape government forces and wholeheartedly heals him despite strict supervision. The two's love gradually blossomed in the tumultuous political landscape.
