Great heroes and evil villains are the kind of characters people aspire to — but not Cid Kagenou. He aspires to be the real mastermind behind it all, pulling the strings and letting his intrigue dictate the whole story. In his past life in present-day Japan, he was unable to achieve his goal. But now, reborn into a world of magic, he will manifest the true nature of the shadow!
When Cid pretends to be just another normal mob figure, he recruits members into his (fake) organization Shadow Garden, aiming to destroy the mysterious cult lurking in the shadows. With so many ad-libs, Cid leads his (fake) organization against the evil (but surprisingly) Diabolos Cult.
