The thieves is a 2012 South Korean crime movie directed by Choi Dong-hoon. The film stars Kim Yun-seok, Lee Jeong-jae, Kim Hye-soo, and Jeon Ji-hyun. The Thieves tells the story of a gang of four thieves who successfully rob an ancient incense burner from a well-known gallery in Seoul, Korea. Suspicious and under police spy, the gang and a recently released prisoner traveled to Hong Kong, China to carry out another mision. They met and formed a group of 10 robbers to steal the prized golden diamond necklace known as "Tears of the Sun" from a casino in Macau. The Thieves is widely regarded as the most popular Korean film of all time in Korea, and it is regarded as a sign of the revival of Kim Chi cinema.
