Yasuke is a purely Japanese-American anime series based on the historical character of the same name, an African warrior who served under the Japanese daimyo Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period of samurai conflict in Japan in the 16th century.The story of this anime revolves around the first black samurai character in history. The whole film is his energetic history-making journey. Once known as a black samurai, a peace-loving ferry driver is pulled back into conflict when he shelters a little girl with mysterious powers.
