The film begins with Sergeant Chun Woo (played by Ko Kyung Pyo), who is waiting for his discharge, picks up a spps ticket to win a lottery jackpot of 5.7 billion won. After a brief dream of when he won the prize, the lottery ticket crossed the military line and fell into the hands of North Korean soldier Yong Ho.
