The plot of the film is about 11-year-old Momo and her mother moving to live on a small island. She has to get used to her new life after her father suddenly dies in a traffic accident.
She came here with the pain of losing her father, the regret of arguing with him the last time they met. Momo's life becomes even more complicated when 3 Yokai appear around her. These are monstrous-looking characters sent down to protect her, each with their own personality and causing more trouble than helping. Gradually, Momo realizes that their appearance is related to the letter left by her father.
Through the image of guardian gods, along with the image of the letter that appears at the end of the film, A Letter To Momo wants to convey a message that: Our bodies, even though they are dead, are still in the far heavens always watching over and supporting those we love. Therefore, in any difficult situation, you must try to overcome and live happily, so that your loved ones in heaven can be assured.
