Cry Me a Sad River
Cry Me a Sad River is a movie adapted from the novel of the same name by Quach Kinh Minh. The film's content as well as its name tells about the tragic and painful life of a little girl named Dich Dao (Nham Man) who was raised by a single mother. Her mother, in order to earn money for her daily life, has to make a living by massaging men, which is also the cause of her illness. Dich Dao is inherently gentle, lives a lonely life and is often teased by friends. Her life became more and more tragic when a new friend moved in, Duong Tieu Me (Chu Dan Ni) because of jealousy, she spread the news that Dich Dao was sick, making her even more alienated and bullied by only Co Sam Tay (Tan Van Lai) is the one who dares to stand up and protect her.
