Top 5 in Top 10 most beautiful national parks in the world.
Fiordland National Park in New Zealand's South Island was established in 1952 and is part of the larger Te Wāhipounamu wilderness, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With an area of 1.2 million hectares, Fiordland National Park has cool rainforests, fresh rivers and streams, clear blue lakes, natural cliffs, snow-capped mountains, picturesque bays shaped by snow and ice, along with unique flora and fauna that existed since New Zealand was part of the supercontinent Gondwanaland. Even on rainy days, the scenery is beautiful, with entire valleys turning into echoing waterfalls. A particular highlight is the stunning Milford Bay with its Mitre Peak, which rises 1692 m (5551 ft) above sea level and is one of the most photographed mountains in the country.
