Out of all the popular shounen anime, Gintama is arguably the most unique and surreal. The story revolves around the samurai Sakata Gintoki and his companions – they created the Yorozuya, a group of people who accept random jobs in exchange for money. On a larger scale, however, the world is ruled by aliens, and the main attraction of the Gintama anime for most viewers is most likely the stories involving extraterrestrials.Even so, the Gintama anime has a lot to offer. It portrays quite humorously in ways that aren't possible with regular shounen. This anime series contains countless references, repeated instances of the fourth wall being broken, plenty of jokes happening, and an equally eccentric cast of characters to match the anime's pacing. Gintama.
