The series follows Haruto Kirishima and Yuzuki Eba, years ago the 2 became friends and Haruto asked Yuzuki to return to his hometown - Shōbara, Hiroshima if she got into trouble. When Yuzuki is estranged from her stepfamily, she moves to Shōbara, Haruto's hometown. There, she helps Haruto develop feelings for his current lover Nanami Kanzaki, but Haruto ends up falling in love with Yuzuki. He helps Yuzuki reconcile with her family, which encourages her to move back to Tokyo. The two begin a long-distance relationship until Yuzuki abruptly cuts off all ties with him, causing him to hurt and trying to find a way to forget about her.
