Trailer for the best gangster movie of all time Le Cercle Rouge

Le Cercle Rouge is the greatest gangster movie of all time starring Alain Delon as Corey, a newly released criminal who is quickly lured back into a life of crime after he is introduced. about the elaborate jewelry theft scheme. After accidentally teaming up with runaway murderer Vogel (Volante), they enlist the help of former alcoholic policeman, Jansen (Montand), to help them get the job done. However, Police Commissioner Francois Mattei (Bourvil) remains determined to track down Vogel at all costs.

Le Cercle Rouge is full of examples of quintessential French style as Corey casually smokes cigarettes, adorned with a knee-length coat. Corey's character is calm and confident, even when confronting Vogel for the first time, who makes his way past the authorities in the trunk of Corey's car. Director Jean-Pierre Melville's cinematography and framing is easy and assured. Most impressive is Melville's description of the theft as the three men executed the meticulous plan perfectly in complete silence. Melville doesn't interfere with the events on screen, instead presenting the heist in a simple, strategic way.

Le Cercle Rouge also contains moments of surrealism as Melville describes Jansen's drunken nightmare as he is surrounded by various reptiles and insects, shot in an expressive style with light. Chiaroscuro (a type of strong contrasting artistic light) and many exotic images. Especially compared to the rest of the movie, this scene is extremely scary.
