In Oosu, a town on the edge of the Abyss, there is an orphan girl named Riko, who dreams of becoming a cave explorer like her mother and solving the mystery of the Abyss. One day, she found and befriended a cyborg boy in the Abyss, known as Riko who gave him the name Reg. Riko and her friends help Reg get into Belchero. One day, Riko reads a message from Lyka that her mother is waiting for her at the bottom of the Abyss. She decides to start her journey to find her mother with Reg, saying goodbye to her friends and the whole town.
