The relationship between Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) and Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) gets more difficult five years after the events in Dark Elves (2014). When Prince Philip's (Harris Dickinson) proposal to Aurora is approved by her but rejected by Maleficent, things go from bad to worse.
