Reply 1997 is a 2012 South Korean television series that tells the story of a group of friends living in Busan during the 1990s. The series also switches between scenes of them growing up and scenes returning to their school in 2012. The central character of the group is Sung Shi Won (Jung Eun Ji), an immature teenager obsessed with the boy band H.O.T. All of the characters felt very real and their simple everyday stories were played out well. Set in the 90s, the film does a really good job of capturing the nostalgia of the era by highlighting many of the key things that define the time period.
