Squad 38 is a South Korean television series starring Ma Dong-seok, Seo In-guk and Choi Soo-young. While the working class faithfully pays taxes, the wealthiest classes use ways to avoid taxes. The energetic Baek Sung Il (Ma Dong Seok) is a humble but morally strong civil service employee who works as Head of Department 3 at the National Tax Administration (like our IRS). He grew impatient and tired of the wealthiest citizens circumventing Article 38 of the Constitution, which established the tax liability of all citizens.
