Terror in Resonance or commonly known as Terror in Tokyo, is a survival anime series produced by MAPPA, directed by Shinichiro Watanabe with character designs by Kazuto Nakazawa. The anime began airing on Fuji TV's Noitamina channel on July 10, 2014, the last episode premiered on September 25, 2014. In total, the anime consists of 11 episodes. Painted in red, the word "VON" is all that remains after a terrorist attack on a certain nuclear facility in Japan. The government is devastated by incompetence, the remaining police are frantically searching for a way to track down the culprits. During today's alternate iteration, two teenage boys named Nine and Twelve steal an atomic bomb prototype and call themselves the "Sphinx". They then even uploaded a video to the Internet threatening to destroy the city of Tokyo unless they could solve a secret puzzle. They shouldn't exist, but they still stand their ground in a world of deception rife with temporary secrecy that ruins the city, all in the hope of burying their own tragic truth.
