Those Snow White Notes
Mashiro no Oto - Those Snow White Notes revolves around the story of Setsu Sawamura. Shamisen is a traditional Japanese musical instrument that looks like a guitar. The grandfather of the teenager Sawamura Setsu, who raised him and his brother Wakana, recently passed away.
His grandfather was one of the greatest Shamisen players and the two brothers grew up listening to him and learning to play the instrument. Since their grandfather passed away, Setsu dropped out of high school, moved to Tokyo and lived a drift, doing nothing but playing his Shamisen. That's when his wealthy and successful mother, Umeko, bursts into his life and tries to mold Setsu. She enrolls him back in high school, but Setsu doesn't know that he's about to rediscover his fascination with Shamisen.
