Chow Yun-fat (Chinese: , pinyin Zhōu Rùnfā, Yueping Chow Yun-fat, born 18 May 1955) is a popular actor of Hong Kong cinema in the 1980s and early 1990s. From the mid-1990s, he began to turn to the Hollywood market.

In 1974, Chau's life changed after he read a TVB casting announcement.
