The first part of the mecha anime series Full Metal Panic has a confusing tone that cannot decide whether it is a comedy anime or an action anime. While it was possible to perform both tasks, the program's effort toward it was too polarizing. The mecha anime Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid removed the humorous premise of high school, and focused on the development between Sagara and Chidori.Forcing Sagara and Chidori apart created a tension that was not present last season. Viewers can bet much higher for the sequel. The dynamic between the two main characters also shines brighter even though they are not together. Betting it all on strengths was a risk for the Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid series, but it paid off amazingly.
