What it's about: Hell's Paradise is set in Japan's Edo period, and follows ninja Gabimaru and executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri as they search for the elixir of immortality. During an assassination mission, Gabimaru is sentenced to death, but nothing seems to be able to kill him due to having a superhuman body. Believing that his love for his wife will keep him alive subconsciously, Yamada executioner Asaemon Sagiri gives him a chance to be forgiven by the shogunate for all crimes if he finds the elixir of immortality in Shinsenkyo, a newly discovered legendary kingdom in the southwest of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
