High school student Junta Shiraishi has one simple goal - to live a fulfilling youth. However, achieving this goal seems to be more difficult than expected, as people around him often do not notice him due to his absence. In fact, Shiraishi's absence was so severe that people thought his seat in class was always empty, and mistakenly thought he was often truant. There was even a strange rumor circulating in the class, saying that those who successfully spot Shiraishi will have good luck for the day.
So far, the only person who has noticed his existence is Nagisa Kubo, the girl sitting next to him. Unfortunately for him, Kubo enjoys teasing him on a daily basis and often puts him in unprecedentedly tense and stressful situations.
