In Paul Verhoeven's 1987 satirical masterpiece RoboCop, the big shot of the OCP, villain Dick Jones imagined himself as the savvy mind behind the security robot ED-209. In fact, Dick is a crime boss who uses violence when things don't go his way. But besides that stupid ruthlessness, Dick was also an extremely arrogant man, and at the same time too sure of his victories.When Alex Murphy (aka RoboCop) arrives to capture him, Dick proudly reveals that he killed Bob by his hired lover, Clarence Boddicker. Earlier, he revealed to Bob that the ED-209 was intentionally flawed because he planned to profit from its malfunctions. In short, Dick left a trail of evidence against himself.
