Top 2 in Top 10 most impressive films of late-blooming Oscar actor Brendan Fraser.
Trailer
Obese man Charlie (Brendan Fraser) works as an online English teacher, lives in seclusion and does not contact his family because of his low self-esteem about his appearance. His only friend, Liz (Hong Chau), advised him to go to a doctor for treatment, but Charlie refused, citing the high cost.
After that, Charlie hopes to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Ellie (Sadie Sink), before something unfortunate happens. Having gone through many things, Charlie sent an email to the students, revealing his true thoughts and problematic body. This is also the first time Charlie appeared in front of the camera after many years of turning off his teaching cam.
Although the story ends ambiguously, actor Brendan Fraser did a good job bringing a character with a complex psychology. Sometimes he is stubborn and refuses to listen, but this personality gradually changes when many bad things happen...
