Phuong Dung's real name is Nguyen Phan Phuong Dung (born August 9, 1946). She is a famous female singer in South Vietnam (Republic of Vietnam) in the years 1960-1975. Considered as one of the 10 most influential female singers in Vietnam before 1975, Phuong Dung's singing voice is associated with the nickname Go Cong White Swallow that the poet Kien Giang Ha Huy Ha gave her.
After 1967, she married a businessman and left Vietnam around 1977-1978. Phuong Dung has eight children, 6 boys and 2 girls. Two daughters, Phuong Vy, have collaborated with Thuy Nga Center, and Hoang Ly is a model. Overseas, Phuong Dung is always present in charity programs organized by mass organizations and especially religious groups, especially the Caritas Bridge Program DVD, organized by the Caritas Vietnam Committee for Social Charity (with Headquarters).
