Sankarea is a romantic comedy and supernatural horror anime series centered on high school student Chihiro Furuya, who falls in love with a zombie. It's a mostly comedy series, but it also has moments of unexpected horror and tension.
Chihiro's interest in the undead drives him to create an easter potion, inadvertently turning his classmate Rea Sanka into a zombie. Luckily, she eats hydrangea leaves rather than brains, but still annoys them. Anyway, two people love each other and have to do the best in their unusual lives.
